Job Detail: The Faculty of Science at the University of Botswana (Department of Geology) seeks to appoint a Professor/ Associate Professor/ Senior Lecturer in Applied Geophysics in August 2013. The Department, which currently houses nine academic and three support staff has strength in Petrology, Sedimentology, Hydrogeology, Hydrochemistry, Hard-rock Geology, Exploration and Environmental Geophysics. We have ready access on campus (and in the country) to a wide range of analytical techniques that are required to support research in these areas (Sample Preparation, Crushing, Mineral Separation, Engineering Geology Laboratory, State of the art Geophysics equipment, XRD, SEM, NMR, and ICP-MS).
